The Pleasant Hill Education Foundation is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has selected Jennifer Anderson as the organizationís Executive Director effective April 23, 2018. We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to this leadership position and look forward to her bringing her years of nonprofit management experience to PHEF!
When asked about her role with PHEF, Jennifer says, ďIt is an honor to be selected as the Executive Director of the Pleasant Hill Education Foundation. Since moving to Pleasant Hill this past fall and through volunteering, I have enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the community, the school district, and the Education Foundation. I am continuously impressed with the level of commitment from the school, the volunteers and the donors who encourage and create expanded educational opportunities in academics, science, robotics, agriculture, trades, arts, and school staff development. Through these programs, the lives of our students are enriched in life-altering ways.Ē
Jennifer is an Oregon native who moved to Pleasant Hill with her husband Matt Anderson and 8-year-old son Blake after learning about the quality of the schools, the community and discovering the beauty of the area. Jennifer graduated from the University of Oregon and has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Jennifer began her career working with individuals with developmental disabilities and chronic mental health challenges. She then relocated to Colorado where she worked for a large human services organization where she helped develop, acquire and manage a variety of grant-funded programs designed to serve and support individuals with traumatic brain injury, as well as programs to facilitate and support military veterans. Jennifer and her family spent time in San Diego while her husband Matt completed his Pediatric Dental Residency. Upon completion of the residency, she and her family were excited to relocate back to Oregon and Pleasant Hill.
When not working or volunteering, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, riding ATVs, hiking, traveling and reading.
Please join us in welcoming Jennifer!
